Maybe I'm just lucky. I usually store my TT down south where I can easily get it for my southerly short trips during the winter months, but for a couple of years I have kept it at home (where I cannot get it out during the winter). I just drained all the water from all low points, dropped a little pink stuff in the traps and I've not had any problems. Temps below zero for a couple of weeks every winter, below freezing for 3 months or so, and 2-3 feet of snow on top of the TT. Everything thaws in the spring and no problems.

1150# tongue....power jack. For the stabilizers, I put jackstands under them and it only takes about 3 revs with the hand crank. These are stabilizers, not jacks.

I have the 2007 edition of the Benchmark R & R atlas and it shows nothing in the remote area you describe. Not sure how a commercial RV park would survive. Now there is a rest area and a camping area on a reservoir about 60 miles south on 318. All I know of. Sorry.

Boulder is above Butte just off I-15. The roads are OK on that route, but the weather is always a factor that time of year, obviously. The freeway is usually cleared faster that the two lane routes, if clearing is necessary. December usually offers some decent travel weather.

I don't see a problem with the attitude of the combo. Of more concern to me would be the P tires....get LTs with load range E. Also wondering if your Class III hitch may be a little light.

No point in adding to the camping spots...many offerings mentioned and all worthwhile.
Food? We have fun comparing Fish 'n Chips in various coastal town...some just good, others great.
One of our favorite spots is Rouge Ales Public House in Newport. If you're a meat eater, the Kobi Beefburger is sumptuous.

Just as an aside, Highway 12 in Utah is a spectacular drive and one that shouldn't be misses when in the area. Here it is....one of several descriptive sites.

Burnaby Cariboo RV Park is well rated. But you'll find that many Canadian RV Parks are not really big rig friendly. Always call ahead and tell them your length and width (with slides out). Check out the reviews for yourself at: Link
Good info. We have better luck in the Provincial Parks...there are some nice ones...tho our TT is only 29'.....48' combined. Pioneer Trails and Fidalgo Bay in Anacortes not bad. Also, Sequim area has several parks and you can ferry across to Victoria.

Wouldn't have anything other than what I have. No kids at our age, but travel with 4 dogs. They get the benefit of climate control in the back (I lay both rows of seats down) and plenty of room. When we want to go to lunch (or other activity) and really hot out, just leave the A/C on and the PSD idling...great for the dogs.
For hauling stuff, I bought a utility trailer for $300 (with real tires) and can haul up to a ton.....furniture, gravel, sand etc.
When guests on the ride, I just pop the seats up and away we go. 7 passengers and myself...and still room for the dogs in the back (a little cramped).

Home page suggestions
Need some suggestions as to a good home page....news, weather, sports results.....that is easy to access. I have been using Yahoo until they "upgraded". Takes me 10 minutes to log on now. AOL is equally as bad. Google is OK but I'm looking for something better. Can't figure out why they attach so much importance to security to accessing a home page informational site. Who cares?

I have a couple of these but they are hard to read unless you are pretty close.
Interesting. The one I have mounted in my TT looks exactly like this one...I've had it for about 6 years in my old TV first, now my TT, and I know I didn't spend more than $15 for it....tho it was 6 years ago. Needs minor manual adjusting for Barometric Pressure. In the car, I used to adjust every time I went over a pass with posted elevation. It is usually accurate within a hundred ft or so.
Best one I ever had was one I purchased as surplus from USAF graveyard down in Tucson...electric it was...and hardwired it in my old Suburban. Self adjusting and worked like a charm. Don't know if still available from that kind of source. I paid $5 for it. (A long time ago).

I run the Edge Juice w/Attitude. This is neither a chip nor a programmer. It is a module...there are differences. Would advise against towing in race. If you're concerned about torque converter lock-up points, invest in in TC lockup kit. SP Diesel has a keeper for less than $400 that includes an exhaust brake. If you run the Edge properly, it does give you an edge.
Run in tow, drop out of cruise control and OD when climbing....you'll go up at a comfortable speed without overheating anything and with a minimum of downshifting (if any at all).....much stronger than stock. I will often run stock when maneuvering my rig into park sites...no particular reason, just keeps things cool. Heat is the killer.

I currentlyt run Revo & am happy with them. Strictly for towing. Green Diamonds in winter. I have run the BFGs & Cooper Discoverers, both good. Mich LTX I tried, but found them to be too soft for my tastes. Everybody seems to have a favorite tire. IMHO 35K pretty good for towing tires.

Have been towing for 3 years and have encountered an overheat problem no one can find cause for.
Does this mean that you have had all the appropriate qualifed mechanics attempt to diagnose the problem? If so, and you want to keep this rig, I suggest a proactive stance. Larger radiator, cooling fan mods, etc. I used to tow with a 99 K2500 Suburban, and overheating was never a problem....and I have towed many of the high roads in the western states. (There WERE other problems eventually...that's why the new TV.)
Granted, everything was "heavy duty" in the K2500 and perhaps that's the way you should go.
I should add that I think you're pulling a pretty good load with the 350 and even my 454 wore out over time..... 160K miles. My Prowler is 26' and weighs out at about 7500#, sometimes heavier.

There are no steep and curvy roads between Delta and Torrey on the aforementioned route.
As an aside, the Mountain Directory provides good advisory information but tends to discourage some folks from taking some beautiful drives. This advisory info is certainly part of the equation, but best to check with locals and experienced travelers if you have doubts....
